I got the catted pipes as well, and ordered the replacement gaskets the other day. The pipes are gorgeous and pictures really don't do them justice.

 

Supposedly they'll have the first kit on display at SEMA and will be announcing pricing at or around that time

 

Are those HFPC?

Where dyno numbers ever released for those pipes? Kind of want one now

 

Curious as well. I have the Borla S-Type exhaust, everything before it is currently stock. What would these pipes do for someone like me? Anything?

 

Just bought a 16 and found this thread. Is there an update on when these will be available yet?

 

It sounded for a while like it might happen close to the end of this year.

The supercharger kit is closer than the turbos I believe. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

 

I mean both of them are prototyped, I believe he's got 5 supercharger kits on the street now for road testing last I heard while the turbo is still getting some work in the lab before limited release for beta testing. I wouldn't expect too much from these projects before next summer, maybe even next christmas. Not to be a downer, there's just lots of stuff to figure out and I'd rather install FI parts that I know will work right. Lot less room for error tuning with FI than on an NA motor

 

This is what I understand from following this thread for months.

 

I asked him on Facebook about FI releases this year when he posted his supercharger picture there and his response was that the supercharger would be "this year for sure"
Take it with a grain of salt. This stuff takes time. I would much rather get a perfect kit then something that is rushed. Either way I am excited.

 

Build one and show us how it is done!

 

Have you ever disassembled coding? For an ecu this complex I am going to assume it would take a minimum of a year just to disassemble let alone patching the code to make it work with something it was never designed to do.

we are all hungry for information but if we keep shitting on OVtune every time he shows up then why would he update us at all and not just let us see the product when it’s on sale?


@OVTune i have some questions though

any parts that those of us waiting on the twin turbz can start sourcing if we wanna go extra extra?

things like radiators or intercoolers or any large flow oil return lines?

I’d love more PSI dyno numbers but I will take anything OV will share with us rotten kids waiting for Christmas

Agreed. obviously he was born in the age pre-emissions when timing/points were mechanical and gas was full of lead.

 

^^ this. I need the CARB to make it possible in my State. Time is no concern - it will happen for one manufacturer. Competition is our friend.
