Umm - Aren't you going to let the magic smoke escape when the contacts close between 30 and 87A ?????

Seems suspicious to me too.I don't think 87a should be grounded.

That’s because they drew the diagram upside down.

that’s why it’s important to fuse relays

    You’re absolutely right good catch.
you're absolutely right...that diagram is incorrect and would pop at fuse pretty quick. Good catch. I’ll have to edit that diagram.

@IvanhoeTaco with regards to the diagram. The outputs to the actuator will go on position 30

the fused 12v will go to 87. As mentioned above it’s drawn upside down in a sense. If you flip those two it will function.
With the switch in the off position both leads will be grounded.
Switch up will give you one direction and down the other as the relays will flip flop between positive a negative

My truck caught fire today. J/K Ken not a big deal at all. I really appreciate the help and I will definitely reference this when I get ready to wire everything up. You took time out of your day to help me and that means alot.

I never use a fuse. I put a penny in there so I know where my short is!

I prefer screws with the head cut off. Or pieces of copper tubing.

You said you converted your prerunner, what did you do about your front diff actuator?

When I did my conversion I also switched to manual hubs since I have a j style transfer case. Took the actuator off, hooked up leads to put it in the locked position, Put a heavy duty clamp on the rod, reinstalled and sealed it back up. No need for selectable front diff with manual hubs and j style

I did the same as Ken for my swap. It's much easier than running vacuum tubes and it really throws people off when they see a prerunner with manual hubs. Lol

That's what's up honestly. Only option like that for a 2nd gen is using a AWD fj cruiser front axle tube
