    Hi Everyone -

First post as a brand new (To Me) Tacoma owner, bought a 2019 TRD Sport - Upgrade Package - It is Calvary Blue - I hear it is the best color ever, along with the toughest and fastest of all the colors.

It was a demo built up by the dealership - has a 3" Toytec suspension lift, RotiForm Six-OR wheels and BFG KO2s , TRD - Skid Plate, Intake, Exhaust, Tunnel Cover (tri-fold Toyota hard), Bed Mat, TRD Grill, Ridged Fog lights ( that are currently only lighting up just in front of the truck), running boards, remote start ( man I love to carry 2 fobs and a Key - any tips on this would be nice)

I am quite excited to keep building up this truck - looking at installing lights in the cargo area, a light bar on the front, I would also look at metal ((steel or aluminum (prefered)) bumpers with a winch on the front - OR - install a 2" reciever on the front, while keeping the origional bumper with power plug for a winch, Have winch being able to go from front to back recievers and possibly the back of the box - Do some hunting and pulling an Elk or a Moose up into the back would be much easier with a winch and then do the hard work at home.

Well its been a cool 24hrs - stopped into a dealer last night and today traded in 2 vehicles and drove off with the TACOMA - Yae for me!!!!!!!!

    Glenn

Thanks for the welcomes, I was in no way intending to grab a truck that was all done up like this one. I had a 2013 2 Door Jeep JK all done up. It was our (wife and I) first real off road unit - It was her Jeep and I helped her a bit in building it up - put on bumpers and rock rails - a winch - she did a lot with that unit - In the spring I was retired from a company that was downsizing and was awarded a small pension and a package to leave - went out an got a new to her but used 2018 Rubi 4 door for her and I took over the original 2013 jeep - My father passed back in may - about 6 yrs ago he wanted to get a new truck as his old Chev was on his last leg. I spent 3 weekends with him going from dealer to dealer test driving - I had suggested he just get a Tacoma ( I always loved them) but he wanted to try them all - In the end he bought a 2013 SR5 Double Cab Long Box - White - Like every other vehicle he owned and put a topper on it and drove it till he died unexpectedly from complications from a heart operation - He was a great person and I miss him dearly but there I was - Executor of his will and having to clear up the estate - I used his truck for a few months - It was a great truck but it was a bit boaring - The JK really had my heart - about 3 weeks ago I finally got everything moved I needed to move and it was time to part with his truck - Sold his truck put the money into the estate for his heirs. My wife and I chatted for a lot about the age of the Jeep and the milage on it and decided to trade it in and a Mini Cooper we still had around on a pick up - I was trying to make a deal with one dealership but they did somethings I did not like and seen this one for sale at another dealership - It did not show in the add that it was all done up. It was the color I wanted and had a whack of stuff already done to it to get me rolling along -

So far - maybe 200 km I like it - I will miss that JK as it was a great rig but we really needed a truck- thanks to my wife for getting the JK rigged up as I alway left my vehicles pretty stock. Now I have the bug and we have a JL which we have started doing up some, got bumpers and winch installed and my cousin who is a cabnet maker built my wife a very cool drawer and bed system for the back.

We are thinking of a lift, wheels and larger tires for the JL and I have some ideas for the Tacoma to personalize it.

I am very fortunate I have a great partner in my wife and she gets me away from - Well thats good enough type of thinking.

Looking forward to our time together on this forum Taco lovers.
