But you believe he's getting 3 better than you with a Tundra?

I dont need a tundra. I definitely want one tho. But you know where I live. Its hard enough finding parking for the Taco.

If I lived there, not sure I would have anything that was worth more that a grand. But I just don’t think I could live there anyways.

Hello yes went from a Tundra to a Taco and miss having the extra room and the power. Now that I have toy hauler really wished I kept the Tundra for the power and towing capabilities. I really do love my Taco and I only tow a handful of times a year so the trade off is worth it for me. Just waiting for the new generation 21 Tundra on what engines they will offer:thumbsup:

I have a Tundra and get nowhere near that. One mile difference, no way.
    Specs don't even show that.

Yeah, I may have typed he when I meant hiPSI there. It sounded better in my head.
The bottom line is the large range in mpg claims on TW for all gens. Hell, we have 2nd gen 4.0 guys claiming in the 20's. You may be getting 15 but plenty claim up to 10 better.

Dealers are giving major discounts on all remaining ‘19 Tundras. A Toyota $3k factory rebate plus you can negotiate another $6k or so off the sticker. Demand is currently low in CA with gasoline now over $4 a gallon.

I too went from a Tundra (2011) to a Taco (2016). About 2-3 months later I missed the cab size of my Tundra. Three yrs later we bought a travel trailer, towed it with the taco all Summer then decided we needed a bigger truck. Big trip planned next Summer, decided it would be to hard on the Taco and the fam.

I got 21 mpg the day I drove my taco home with the OEM tires. The next day I put some BFG KO2's on it and the MPG's dipped to 16-17. My kids are on a ski race team, so OEM tires just won't work for us.

Our Tundra was getting 17 mpg with the OEM tires, now about 14-15 with the BFG KO2's

Actually I think this Crew Max turns sharper than my SR5 long bed Taco.

Our travel trailer isn't the most aerodynamic thing, at 65 mph it boost the RPM up to about 4-4500K and mpg's dive down to 7. At hwy speeds 60 mph and under the Taco did great. The other factor was the Taco just felt too small for a family of four and all our crap.

Nice truck. Was sooo tempted to get a Tundra but a mid size was more practical for me. Won't be doing much towing and parking would be an issue. Enjoy!

same here, test drove the tundras but i park in alot of parking decks and downtown parking sucks with full size trucks. i would have one otherwise.

For me at least, a full sized truck would not be a good option for a daily driver. If I had a smaller, sporty car for zipping around town, a Tundra would be great addition to round out heavy duty capabilities. Even with my Tacoma, I've had my eyes open for a gently used Mazda MX5 Miata that would fit the budget.

yep, same here. it's currently between a NC or a triump bonnie. the miata might win out because i like wearing shorts and sandals to work and you can't do that on a bike.

I loved my Scrambler (center). I’m actually thinking of getting a Bonnie this time around...
