This may be a silly question. Can a TRD exhaust from a short box be retrofitted or modified to fit a long box? I’m guessing you’d just have to lengthen the pipe either for or aft of the muffler?

It can be done. Have a shop add some pipe before the muffler. I assume you found it used. Might end up costing more in the long run, so make sure the deal on the used setup is right.

Thanks. I’ll check with the exhaust guys and see what the additional cost would be, and yes it is a used exhaust.

Nothing. Probably for buying a used sb exhaust so that it can be easily retrofitted for a lb. Although, some aftermarket exhausts are only made for the sb but will offer an extension piece so that it’ll fit the lb.
