that's a good looking bike. now you're making me rethink the miata haha. i can't decide which of my day dreams sound better, driving the miata down the coast with the top down or riding the bike down the coast in my favorite tommy bahama shirt.

I'm definitely envious of those mid 20 MPG people but I like my 33" Cooper ST MAXX more than my fuel economy. In the summer it isn't too terrible but on winter grade fuel prior to making my winter tire switch it got really, really bad. I was getting an equivalent of 14mpg when I was getting a comfortable 17mpg in the summer. :(

Did you know that the term "fossil fuels" doesnt actually mean they come from extinct or fossilized animals... it was actually a term created by Rockefeller over 100 years ago to create the idea of scarcity to drive the price of it up making everyone think its derived from some rare creature

I know, but I thought it would be more cool to say “Dino Juice” than fossil fuel...

also, technically it does. It comes from all organic matter so not just animals but they are partially in there somewhere.

This!! I love tundras as well, but going into the city is a hassle with large trucks.

Sweet truck OP!! If I towed/hauled that much often I would be in a full-size as well. My father is on his 2nd Tundra, they have been great trucks for him after ~30+ years as a Chevy owner..

    Welcome to the club.

You are gonna be pissed when you find that the Tacoma and the Tundra get close to the same MPG at 85 MPH.

You would think shorts and sandals would be a no go on a bike but it doesn't seem to stop some around here. My uncle lost a toe sliding even with boots on, I'd hate to slide in sandals. Atgatt.

You exercised weight reduction with the access cab, better MPG automatically ;)

Im getting 13-14L/100km - 17-18ish MPG Combined w/ 2" Fox Lift, 33's and OVTune 1.05.1 Base 91. When I was fully stock I was getting 20+ MPG easily? You must have that thing mashed all the time :bikewheelie:

    Nice-looking truck!

I still consider you family...Moving from a Taco to a Tundra is like going from dating my sister to dating my aunt. It’s all good.

We had an offer to buy my SIL’s ‘08 Tundra which we perhaps foolishly declined, and I ended up getting a new Tacoma. I still think the Tacoma works out better for me, giving the fact I drive in town most of the time and only pull a small camper occasionally (like this weekend).

My limit for towing would be ~4000 lbs loaded weight. Any more than that would really take the fun out of towing with the Taoc, and a full-size would be better.

I never thought I was an aggressive driver, I don't accelerate quickly, I don't speed often. Maybe a combo of slightly higher elevation, and lots of in-town start and stop driving. Probably lead foot to others but it doesn't seem off the handle when I compare to other people in my area with lifted diesels lol

    I went from a 2014 Tundra to a 2018 Tacoma. I miss the Tundra.

For mpg comparisons, I averaged 14.3 in the Tundra and 19.1 in the Tacoma. I drive about 15k miles annually. With fuel costing an outrageous $4.15/gallon in the Republik of CA... I'm saving about $1,100 on fuel each year.

Tell me about what you're towing. Im looking at towing a boat that'll be around 5800# total with my Tacoma. I'm sorta sweat'n it, wondering if I should upgrade to a Tundra
