Maybe it is an age thing.

My wife and I started on a radical downsizing exercise a few years back.

So many years of more coming in than was going out.

We have two Goodwill drop off centers within driving distance, and we have just given away so much stuff we had but didn't really need.

To have a really good idea of what you actually possess and be able to lay your hands on it in a moments notice is so physically freeing.

Frees up a lot of mental bandwidth also.

But that trim piece above the climate control does look enticing...lol

You know it brother. Took me many years to convince myself I “needed” this knife. As a tool it does not disappoint. I bought it for the cache and looks, but it’s become my favourite bush knife. Ergonomics and design are second to none.

We were just talking about that yesterday. She had mentioned that when we left Michigan for NM, how she gave away a bazillion heavy coats to friends -some she had never worn - and still has a ton in the closet. Women are just as bad if not worse. They just buy different shit.

After retiring this past December, I realized how much crap we’ve accumulated over the years and have slowly begun the downsizing.

I’m guilty of buying knives I don’t need. Nothing too high dollar though. I bought this kabar a while back for when the SHTF. Still don’t know why.

I got mine as a gift from the battalion commander when I did a year long stint as his driver back in the ‘80’s. Don’t even know where it is right now. Thanks for the reminder. Need to dig it up.

I used to be a minimalist, and my head and heart are dying to get back to that point. When I traveled across the US to where I am now, I drove my ‘01 and whatever fit in the bed, and that’s what I had. But I had to tool up and now I have things all over the place. It’s the worst. And since I found out I’m a millennial, I can’t “even” with ANYTHING.

NICE! Love me some fixed blades. The are my fixed edc’s. The one on the right I really like. I had it made by a local maker last year. It’ll be going on my deer and oryx hunt with me this year.

These are my folder edc’s as of late. Really need to organize my shit better though. I have a bunch I haven’t used in a while put away somewhere.
