Make sure you get the version you want, there are 2 in 9mm. One takes G19 mags, the other only takes G17 mags.

I put a "TAC" trigger in mine and a 3.5# connector and a "Rock your Glock" recoil spring in my G48. and changed out the Sights for some Ameriglo Pro I dots. I love the way it shoots. Wish I had waited for the Black slide but Meh

Sub 2000 Glock 19 version I just bought yesterday. Seems like it wants to live in my truck.

I have the Glock 19 version and I am very happy with it. I upgraded mine with all the MCARBO items they sell.

Disclaimer - I am a revolver guy. And proud of it.

Several years ago, I transitioned to the dark side and acquired a Gen4 Glock 19. I really do like this gun. But I'm not giving up my wheelguns...

I am now planning on adding to my Glock collection (of 2 - I have a 26 as well). For the next one, I think another 9mm is in order.

I was in Cabela's last night, looking at several. While I thought I knew what I wanted, I left with more questions (of myself) than answers.

I was initially thinking about a Gen5 17. But, I also looked at a 19X and a 45. I like the longer barrel of the 17, but the 19X/45 would be a little easier to carry. (Which is not a major point, since I have a 19). The 17 is slightly forward-heavy, which I like for control-ability, but the shorter barrelled ones aren't bad.

So, what to do? Is the G45 just a G17 with a G19 barrel?

If you already have a 19, then no reason to consider the X=19X... the 45 like you said is simply a 19 slide/barrel on the the 17 frame. if all you want is more rounds or grip then simply add a mag extension on your 19 or just use 17 mags. the added barrel length and weight will make for better shooting.

that's just my two cents. although i have all versions of .40S&W...

Actually both the 19x and 45 are 19 slide/barrel & 17 frame hybrids. The 19x is the offspring of their failed military contract pistol and the 45 is basically a black gen5 police variant of the 19x.

My thoughts is if your going to carry a full size grip carry a full size barrel. The barrel doesn’t affect concealment, the grip does. If it’s a range gun get a 34. Carry, 43x or 48 lol. I have 2 gen 5 17s and like them but want a 34 for work and 43x for a carry.

This is the first ive gotten to shoot my G35 since adding the light. Am i remembering correctly that some of the .40s&w guns had reliablility issue with weapon mounted lights? Or am i maybe limp wristing since im not used to shooting with a light? Ive switched over to my G17L so im not used to shooting .40s&w anymore. Im not a expert marksman but i shoot my G17L fine without any reliability issues so im not sure if its me or the gun. Idk. Whats your grip look like when you have a light mounted on your glock? Its a weird new feeling for me.

Just to add i only had a chance to shoot a couple mags and i had 2 rounds not go into full battery. I was shooting consistant left/low but not by much.

I also vote long slide G34 or 17L. If not long slide I vote G17.

It looks like it will be a G34. That one makes the most sense.

Thanks for the suggestion - I had forgotten about that model.
