I have 3 weeks with my tacoma, I don’t have enough money saved to get tires, lift suspension and other things so the only thing I did is black out everything for right now until I saved money

Tons of re-wiring... after installing an offgrid engineers dual battery setup last weekend, I had to redo a ton of wiring since all of my accessories were running off of one battery. Also added a an always on panel in the bed. Didn’t use the blue sea fuse box, just ran couple wires back there and fuses them near the battery. Two sockets and a voltmeter with two usbs. This was more complicated than just moving ring terminals to the backup battery... I had a lot of piggy back fuses...

I also added another Noco battery monitor and port for the back up battery so now I can charge them separately from the cab because I HATE leaving my hood open to condition AGMs. Also if you have an AGM In your 3rd gen and you’re not charging it Via a conditioner once a week at least you’re killing your expensive battery. Our truck’s alternators won’t give them enough juice.

I left the winch running off the main battery per Matt’s suggestion (owner of Off Grid) since it is the one thing on the truck that can draw as much juice as the starter. Is that what everyone else does?

It’ll drive stock just as good as any lift. Probably better.

Welcome Taco owner. We all start somewhere, some are small mods, some are ridiculously big mods. You will find an abundance of both here.

I think I'll sleep here. Platform has a bit more padding than you are offering.

Clearly your roads are smoother than here in the northeast, if you can transport coffee on the wheel well.

Any of you 3rd gen folks get a dreadful ticking or tapping noise from the passenger rear cabin area? It sounds like plastic in plastic and it’s bothering me to no end. I wish I knew how to upload a video I have of it but hopefully someone knows a fix. Thanks!
