I’m going to make plates for it. No serious off-road if any for this truck anymore.

Now the old frame? I’m going to town on that bitch when I find a body

Keep an eye behind that filter for awhile...I noticed mine let a lot of fine dirt through over time so I switched back to paper ones. Sucks having to replace them often but they really do filter better imo

I’d recommend you paint a lot of that exposed sheet metal below the grill black. You’ll thank me once the bumper is mounted.

@Squeaky Penguin was getting dust behind his paper filters. Always something to keep an eye on.

I wouldn't worry about it until your truck gets really heavy, and/or you start getting air between your tires and the ground.

Although, it looks really easy to weld up some coil bucket gussets with the body of the frame.

the original frame needs some minor repairs as it is. so when the body comes off it to go on the new one i'll be gusseting anything i can get my hands on and slowly acquire the parts for LT then hopefully have a body by the time the chassis is ready.

Here's my 02 that I just picked up a few months ago. It was bone stock with 52,000 miles. Since then I've changed out the rusty bumpers and grille, gave it a good detail, andadded a set of Rota SlipstreamsIMG_20191013_162025.jpg IMG_20191013_163102.jpg

Starter’s beginning to fail. Have to tap on it to get it to crank. Need to pull it and replace or rebuild. This is my first time doing this with my Doug thorley headers installed. Looks like they are all up in the way. Anyone have experience replacing a 3.4L starter with headers? Does the y pipe need to be removed?

I’m getting a very noticeable whirring from the passenger side area. It increases and decreases on pitch with speed, not acceleration. This issue has persisted before my lower ball joint failed. What’s the difference between tire noise and a bad wheel bearing?

Are all your tires wearing evenly? Do you keep it aligned?

No, alignment is off. But I rotate the tires regularly.

Ultra gauge can do trans temp if you have an 01-04. You have to get the MX version and then program it in. I have it on my 02 double cab right now
