I’m guessing this has something to do with the rear locker. While repairing the parking brake, I noticed this. Just wondering what it does from you pros out there? Is that the locker engagement switch?
(2004 Tacoma trd v6 4x4 w/Electronic rear locker-just purchased and have not had a chance to try to engage it. Got a great deal on it so I bought it as is)
    Thanks in advance.

Yes that is the e locker actuator, but I can't tell which wire is bad.

That is the locked, unlocked light switch wire.

So The locker should work but it won’t be lit up on the dash? It is a blue wire with a yellow stripe through it. I can’t patch it so I suppose a new harness is in order?

The locker function will not be affected by this broken wire. If you take the plug off, it is possible to remove the metal terminal from the plastic housing and you could repair it. It takes a good amount of patience and a small screwdriver!
You could always put a couple female spade terminals in place of the plastic housing and liquid tape it, or silicone. Not pretty but it will work.

12voltguy.com may have a new plug.
