Why don't these come from the factory? This is a great addition and made everything I keep in the console super easy to find.

My inner CV boot tore after 6 years of lift. I discovered it on my last oil change. So I replaced the axle and cleaned up the greasy mess underneath. I’ll reboot the old axle and then have a spare on hand for next time.

I also changed all the gear oil in the front and rear diffs & transfer case with Lucas Synthetic.

Finally washed my 2014 Taco for the first time.

Not happy with the inside of mud flaps that face the tire and how they cleaned up. Just used Turtle Wax car wash for the rest of the truck.
Dirt on mud flaps did not come off well.

    What do others use?

    Thanks!

Wow, first wash after 5 years - impressive!

Ya know, they are called mud flaps for a reason - to catch the dirt. While I am OCD, you might have me beat.

I went from 15.3 to a best of 16.1. That’s around town during rush hour traffic. 19.9 going from Sacramento up to Tahoe and then back down again on one tank. Heavy foot averaged 73mph on the wide open parts of the freeway. Truck had three people and luggage for 5 days.

Washed & waxed for the winter. First time using Chemical Guys wax. Came in a spray pump bottle, totally sold on the ease of application and finish on the paint! Took me one third the time to do the truck.

And just for fun, how it looked when I purchased it from my son. Remember, it was a Hawaii truck for 11 years before being shipped to the East coast.
