Dam that is clean :thumbsup::thumbsup:. A lot cleaner than the Demello bed bar for the 05's. I like the way it fits flush against the sides of the bed.

Thanks for your service, The Eagle, Globe, and Anchor are for my brother in 3/6 India. He is due home from Iraq this Sunday! It is his second tour and we can't wait to have him home.

You think that if I got Westin tube nerf bars and had them welded to the frame (instead of just bolting them to the frame) that it would be strong enough to use the Hi-Lift?

Damn it! The sliders are just a little too "rock crawler" for me.

What about bolting a couple of shackles to the frame up from and using the Hi-Lift with straps?

+1 for the Demello or Shrockworks. No way factory step bars would hold up. You'll rip right through them.

I checked out the Shrockworks and they look awesome and not crawler-y at all!

However, they mention that they are just bolted to the frame. Is this good enough or should I have them welded? Also, since I have no access to a welder (nor do I know how to use one) any clues where I could have them welded?

They sure are proud of them too!

You can weld them for extra strength but I think you will be fine with just bolting them, by only bolting them you have the option for removal if you ever bend of break one (highly unlikely but it is nice to keep your options open).

Lots of guys have them. I am saving for them and hope to have them soon. Well in the next few months anyway. Here is a link. It is the only place I know where to get them from. I don't think they sell their stuff to resellers or agents.
