To avoid overspray on the tires you can put playing cards between the rim and tire or put vaseline on the tire and wipe them clean afterwards.

That's a cool tip about the playing cards! I once made a custom wheel-painting rig out of an old record player/turntable. I didn't actually plug it in and use the motor, but rather I would center the wheel on the turntable and gently spin it by hand, then use the spray can starting near the hub and gradually pull it back toward the bead. This allowed me to get a uniform and smooth coat (metallic argent) of paint on the overall surface of the wheel.
Trying to paint a wheel with metallic paint using the traditional sweeping method always resulted in "tiger stripes" for me, but the turntable always worked out perfectly.

Used to do the vaseline trick when I worked at the car lot many moons ago.

Just rub vaseline on the tire walls before you paint... handle your business... then wash off with degreaser.

Still need to tape up fenders though.

Here's my 02 that I just picked up a few months ago. It was bone stock with 52,000 miles. Since then I've changed out the rusty bumpers and grille, gave it a good detail, and added a set of Rota Slipstreams IMG_20191013_162025.jpg IMG_20191013_163055.jpg

First time posting ever, I’ve been snooping around on this forum for awhile now and I will admit I copied 5 Lug Fury’s pickup. So kudos to him. 15x8 Mikey Thompson classic iii with 3 5/8 backspacing. With BFG ko2’s. Consider this my hello 10F1137B-EF73-4D89-9770-C85B8D466E3A.jpg

Bassackwards no I don’t have a wrap on my pickup, I took the photo under an old orange HPS parking lot light. Its red, just looks orange. I’ll take a daylight photo and post it soon.

You have to take out the black boxes or do any other mods to fit those wheels? I want to run a similar setup on my 5 lug.
