    im not sure what the problem is though. custom carrier, 2* shims now in, driveshaft. ugh.

    4wd? You can pull the rear and drive around in front wheel drive if needed. I did that a while ago for about a week. Just try to keep from hard accelerations.

    Yeah if you did it all at once it will be hard to diagnose. Any idea what your pinion angle is at ride height?

    i have no idea. i have the tremec app but it makes no sense. ill just see if i can pull it and get to the shop in time. no idea what their work load is or price. where would i find driveline specs for this truck? i could buy a gauge at harbor freight.

    Yeah you can get cheap angle finder and measure. That could at least get you closer to figuring out if it is driveline angle or driveshaft out of phase

    Get an angle on your driveshaft, then disconnect and get an angle on the pinion face, send it to ECGS. That's what they had me do to get my pinion angle for my Dana 60/

    Oh shit. How the hell did they manage to do that? Take a picture of your driveshaft as a whole if you can, if you can't take a pic of your driveshaft close to the CB. I want to see what it looks like.

    thank you very much. bet thats most of my problem.
    we used a pneumatic 12 ton press to put the u-joints back together. can it be done with sockets and a hammer? or am i risking damage?

    Sockets/hammer you are at higher risk of damage, it's doable though

    They don’t necessarily line up from the factory. Mine didn’t and I remember it always being a pain in the butt to grease the u-joints since I’d have to move the truck to get to all of them. When I replaced the carrier bearing and u-joints I fixed that so they line up.

    Unless you knew they were lined up before, no I wouldn’t use that as a diagnosis
