Is the rubber grommet on the mounting bolt suppose to go on or is just packing to hold the washers on? Don't see anything about it in the instructions.

I'm going to guess you need the o-ring or there isn't anything to keep the two pieces in the hole. I think it's pretty clever, before seeing the split I wondered how I was going to get the hoses into those little holes.

I meant on the mounting bolt not the bell housing hole cover.

Oh, well I didn't notice that. Hmm sounds like we need to reach out to CM, I doubt they put it on for looks.

So got bout half way through. Got aggravated as hell trying to mount the transmission. I did have to cut the steel sleeve off from the previous fix.

Fuck this whole thing in particular

I've got the same transmission jack and I thought that it was barely hanging on with just the one transfer case. This must have been sketchy as all hell jacked up.
Congrats on getting out there first! I'm waiting on a flywheel and I'll be right behind you.

Did you swap the gasket on the oil fill cap? Wondering if I should order a new one. My OCD is kicking in, would like the logo to be positioned better.

I got everything installed finally after help from a friend. I still need to adjust the clutch pedal. Only drove it out the garage and back up the drive way and felt so much better. Also no more squealing. Can’t drive far until I get a new shifter for the fj case. I got a new tcase cuz my old one was cracked and leaking profusely. New case is stock and will not be twin sticker like the old one.

Got the pedal adjust. Feels a lot better. Only drove it down the street and back. Never got past 2nd gear. The pedal is so light and effortless now. I could sit in traffic and not get tired now. Should pick up new transfer case shifter tomorrow then I can drive it without fear of gear oil splashing up all over me.

My god it was. Picking it up and trying to get the jack situated underneath. Putting it back up I had no issues with it wanting to fall or anything.

transmission had fluid but the tcase and crawl box were mostly dry

The rubber grommet is just a precautionary piece to put on the inside of the OEM bracket that is connected to the transfer case where the hard line attached to the soft line. We figured it would just be a good idea to have a grommet there instead of the hose running through that hole and rubbing on raw metal. It is definitely in the instructions on their website.

Yeah the RA60 trans with the transfer case is no joke! Ha especially if its full of fluid!

Clutch Masters has told me they've heard back from a few others who've managed to get everything installed and they love it. I know I still love mine!

I think where the lines run are different for the fj and tacoma. On the Tacoma the hardline doesn’t run to the end of the transmission like in the pic in the instructions. Not a huge ordeal. Just a variation in vehicle models.

Dang, that clutch was just about toast! How do you feel it all went on with the snout cut off?

Ahh gotcha! Then yeah if there is no bracket on the Tacoma disregard the rubber grommet! Does anyone possibly have a pic of how the lines are ran on the Tacoma by chance? I know a few have already installed them on the Tacomas with the lines sent out so they must not be that much different then. But if maybe the line doesn't need to be as long as it is for the Tacoma maybe there just needs to be two different kits for the FJ and the Tacoma with different length feed line.

You could still run the grommet if you run the line up the firewall toward the brake booster area and attach to a bracket. Was going to do this but the supercharger being in the way made this a little difficult. So I just connected the line near where the slave cylinder connects.
