Sounds like they are clueless or trying to hustle you I'd be very wary of their work.

I agree with Prowlah. If they are having trouble installing a aal I wouldn't be confident in thier work.

    somewhat.

don’t believe the hype that the front end goes completely loose when you take it off. I was worried because I carry a 2yo a few times a week, but I’ll never put it back on.

When do you notice not having it on anymore? Have you had to perform any high speed swerves?
I'm in Southern CA where we get increasingly worse drivers every year...

I don’t really notice it’s gone. I also don’t drive like an idiot and pay attention to my surroundings, so it’s been a non-issue.

Wasn’t trying to sound like a jackass, sorry about that lol.

Even going around corners at high speed, haven’t noticed any difference. The spring rate is quite high on this kit, so that helps keep things stable without the swaybar.

Let me know I’m scheduled for install Thursday and I’ve been debating on whether or not to take it off OR go to the second notch while Eibach figures their shit out. DMed then on Instagram earlier this week for an update and no response.

Only use the higher notch if you have weight up front (bumper, winch, skids).

Not to sound dumb, but did you check and make sure they did in-fact install it on the lowest clip and not the highest? That doesn't make sense.

I was underneath inspecting the suspension today and noticed both my front springs gave these nicks in them. You can feel them. I paid for installation so I don’t know if this can happen during the install process putting the springs on the shocks or if it’s hitting something. I can’t see anything that could touch there but maybe I’m missing something. Any ideas?

Coil weight doesn’t really have much to do with stiffness. That’s the valving of the shocks that cause stiffness.

    Here’s the skinny:

Stock 3rd gen TRD OR coils are 712#, but mushy because of the factory Bilstein valving.
The 3rd gen front end weighs about 300lbs more than a 2nd gen which run 600-650# coils (depending on model).

My OME 590# coils ran SO MUCH harsher (like absolute garbage) and stiffer than my current Eibach 700# because the OME shocks are built for heavy-ass overlanders. I now run ADS shocks with Eibach coils and it floats like a dream.

Most people don’t understand springs are just to support the weight of the vehicle, but progressive style coils can alter stiffness some because of the coil taper. Properly tuned shocks provide a desired ride quality. 3rd gen Tacos will sag over time with anything less than a 700# coil.

Hope this clears up a lot of false info about coils on these 3rd gens
