    Hi All,

First post, first Tacoma (2019). I searched the threads before posting and couldn't find any info, sooooo...

Does anyone know what BRAND of gear oil is used at the factory when they fill up the front/rear differentials and gear box? I figured they have their own branded oil, but not sure.

Yes, to me it does, lol.

Also I assume they are using synthetic gear oils. Eh?

My best guess is Warren makes their non synthetic gear oil. When you go to the dealer it’ll say bulk 75W90 on the receipt.

They use Toyota 75w85 gl5 and fucking unicorn piss SAE 75w for the transfer case that only Toyota makes and the cheapest I found was $53/L at my local dealership. Don't be a dum dum like some people who buy 2 cans because you need 1.1 qt. The cans are Liter cans which are 1.05 qts.
I just did mine and my wife's truck. I used Ravenol 75w85 gl5 for the front and rear and the Toyota unicorn piss for the transfer case. Only reason I did that is because my wife's truck is full time 4wd and calls for it as well.
