I have catted dump tubes, but haven’t had a chance to install yet. I’m going to install them this Sat. I guess we’ll see if I get a CEL or not.

Zendesk #10630. 04B04 ECU, Decatted down tubes, TRD Pro Catback/CAI, TRD SEMA w/ 265/79/17 SL Wildpeaks, about 200 lbs armor/accessories, 2.0 Beta 93 Octane Decatted Custom (non-gearlock).

Got the dump tubes installed myself on second attempt today after getting a $370 quote from a shop to do it. Had to unbolt the the stock y-pipe at the catback to allow room for the stock manifold to be removed. Took me about 6 hours but that was taking my time and breaks. Short test ride went well and the tip in feels spot-on. No abnormal instrument cluster warning lights either. With the TRD Pro catback and CAI and I get a nice growl now at moderate throttle. Sounds really nice but no annoying drone when cruising at around 70 mph. I'll provide drivability feedback when I have 50+ miles but so far so good.

Had just one issue, the original bolts for the transmission bracket does not fit the catless down tube. So running it without the transmission bracket now and seems solid enough. Mat replied that those brackets aren't really needed and if I wanted to they use the same flange bolts that came with the down tubes.

Thanks @OVTune for a solid product, it was worth the wait. Glad I didn't cancel the order. And also kudos to @M1Awolf and @Tea-coma for the encouragement and tips to do it myself.

ETA; tune version is for decatted down tubes.

So your catless tubes and no codes. WTF! Haha

I just completely removed the support brackets even though I had the correct hardware for it. They aren’t needed. And they have to bend a little bit to actually bolt to the pipe so I didn’t want the stress on the dump tube.

Yes sir no codes so far and cruise control and ECT are functional! I noticed that too about the bracket, probably needed for the heavier cats or during factory assembly.

I’d get down there again and just remove the brackets all together. Save the weight. LOL.

ok but seriously, catless tubes are supposed to pull the codes!!! Have you cruised above 40 for at least 10 mins? I believe it only runs it’s O2 check around then. Ugh I’m frustrated...

Cruised at 70 but not for 10 minutes straight yet. Tomorrow's commute will be about 30 minutes at 70. BTW, tune version is for decatted down tubes.

I am currently putting miles on my 1.05 tune. Per previous posts, I should drive it for a few hundred miles at least before trying another tune. With that in mind, does driving sometimes in D and sometimes in S, make any difference to the "relearning" of the tune?

    Thx

    Lifted, re-geared, pretty.
Hi everyone! I recently put a 2.5" lift and 33" tires on my 3rd gen and am wondering if this tune is a worthwhile investment until I can afford re-gearing.
Will this help with fuel efficiency and/or power delivery?
Also, if I'm in the wrong place, let me know. I'm kinda new here and to automotive mods in general.

Oh yea, makes a huge difference in drivability ..... I would recommend the tune first then decide about a regear. ( cost wise makes sense )

I apologize if it’s been stated already (tried looking through this massive thread). Is the 2.0 EROM only for use with catted/decatted dump tubes only ? Or is it compatible with stock exhaust?

Do it bro! You won’t regret it.
And welcome to TW. This place gets crazy sometimes. Often, actually...
