I must be getting old, but there was a time not too long ago when people would get reprimanded for using foul language at school functions. Of course, people also had the decency to not use profanity in front of children, and generally didn't use it in front of people they didn't know.

And it's not that I'm a prude. I was simply raised to respect other people.

You’d be hard pressed to find a major D1 program student section that doesn’t do this. It’s shit talk, just like this.

If anyone takes that shit seriously, they need to stop at a convenient store on their way out of town for some puffs. People are soft as hell these days.

 

It isn't about taking it seriously. It's the fact that people have a general lack of respect for anyone other than themselves. Personally, I wouldn't talk like that in front of anybody's kids, but hey, I was raised with manners and integrity.

 

Then stay at home and watch the game. Sporting events, diverse crowds, and alcohol bring out rowdy behavior. Expecting anything different is wildly unrealistic unless you’re in the BYU student section.

 

Student sections get wild.


Now they have access to booze during the game at some schools.
