You know beast mode cowboy? I see he follows you. I’ve been a fan of his since he was on Big Brother and then on Survivor (twice I think?)... I know he’s been trying to get his pro card. Seems like a cool dude

Hubs and I had the day off.
I havent been feeling well for awhile but got some meds called in Saturday night and felt much better today. Hit the gym for upper body and abs, then we went for a ten mile hike in the woods. Then of course topped off the day at a brewery and distillery.

For those of you other govt workers I hope you enjoyed your day off ;)

Yes. I pull sumo because Im stronger this way. I feel like my lack of hip flexibility is limiting my sumo though. I really wish I could open my hips more so I could get close to the bar. Working on it.

    Still train conventional often though.

You actually look small for the weight you’re pushing. It’s impressive. Keep it up man. Was just curious! I’m on the way to the gym for the 2nd time today cause we got off work early and scale said a little heavier than I wanted it to say (178) lol

    I did 5x4 @ 245 on squat.

squats have always been my weekness even back in high school powerlifting days.

I walk stairs every day at work, ride mountain bike on the weekend and never skip leg day. So I’m trying to get my numbers up but I also don’t want to hurt myself so I take it slow.

and I’m just a vans person.

flats AKA vans are best for mountain biking too so I hve 3 pairs

    1. High top for mountain biking
    1. High top for working out
    1. Going out lol

Are you sucking air into your stomach or lungs?

I know I am fat, but even when I am lean as can be, my stomach pours over my belt because I suck air into my stomach over my lungs.

I'd also suggest spend less time setting up before your first lift.

    @Travish325 thoughts?

I’m belly breathing into my belt as hard as possible.

You’re probably right about the setup. I’ve been told that many times. Lifting is a mind game for me. My little setup ritual really has nothing to do with the setup at all. It’s just what I do while I’m getting my mind ready To lift. Probably should do that before I ever step up to the bar.
