The scoop keeps the hood from flapping. Plus you can put a light in it. Plus it looks bitchin'.

Dude the scoop was like 90% of the reason I went with the sport instead of the off road.

Agreed. I know some guys complain about the obstruction that it causes. Honestly, I have no complaints. I've been driving sport tacos since 2005 and I love that fake scoop.:D

I mean, for me it’s minimal. I’m 6’1’’ and have a decent depth perception. I have a light bar in mine which is pretty useful for me. And yeah, it looks awesome.

I remember test driving an access cab sport model, it looked cool from the outside, but it does cut down the visibility in front, especially when pulling up into a space or parking spot. My fiancee did not like it.

My wife hates the scoop .... she has no problem with me buying all the parts for my OR to create a semi-pro as long as I don’t get a scooped hood.

    Yes ...
she tells me it’s my truck and can do whatever I want to it but hopes I don’t end up with the scooped hood someday ... pro headlights are next on my wishlist

Im actually the opposite. SO glad the OR has a plain hood. If it had been scooped I would’ve had a really tough time pulling the trigger. We all like what we like...

    Haha

Just love the way the scoop looks and really dislike the non color matched fenders, bumpers and style of the stock wheels on the off road. Combine that with as little off roading as I actually do, a sunglasses holder has more practical use to me than crawl control. Sport was the choice for me.

I am in North Alabama and looking to swap a TRD Off Road (white) hood with a sport hood with the scoop. If you are interested please let me know.
