And then once all of that is done, putting on new front fiber glass and *gasp* painting it, and sending ALL of my shocks off to get rebuilt finally. Prob gonna be doing alot of frame sanding and such while shocks are gone to refresh the build a little bit

Also interested to hear how the 4.10s are...was under the impression our front diffs weren't compatible

Ok, Truck is finally back from the shop, couple lil things done to it...

To start off, after going through 4 rear diffs in the last 2 years I finally said F it and spent some real money.


East Coast Gear Supply custom Dana 60. Stuck with drum brakes since my wallet was already screaming at me, but upgraded to some PowerStop drum replacements.

FINALLY installed my Doug Thorley Short Tube Headers, @Bonzen Solid Motor Mounts, and DTF Manual Transmission Solid Mounts.


To Top it off, I also had ECGS work up a new front diff with 4.10 gears and their needle bearing replacement, as well as put 4.10 gears and some E Locker in the Dana 60.
All so I could get rid of the heavy ass 35s that stole a bunch of power from the truck. Reason behind this was that I'm on the road 99% of the year with the truck, so while I loved the way the 35s fit with fiberglass, my MPGs and loss of power just didn't work for me.

And to top it all off, I made an impulse buy with one of these do-hickeys, and Mr. @JustDSM hooked me up with a nice tune for it. Can already feel a good power boost from it, but haven't really got on it yet as I want to break in all the new gears properly so I'm waiting until 500 miles and a gear oil change before I try anything really fun . On the track obviously.



I also have a new set of ADV fiberglass to install, but I'm taking my time with those. My original set of front glass was not installed properly and starting to get a little bit of spiderwebbing and sun fading, so I want to do it right this time and paint them nicely. Will update whenever I get around to that haha.

In other news, my steering wheel is clocked at like 9 o clock after a fresh alignment. Pretty sure the shop i went to doesn't know really how to do custom alignments since the guy doing it spent about an hour fucking with it and didn't accomplish anything and then had to call his boss over who fucked around and still didn't do anything and then told me I needed to shorten my steering extensions (except I've had a perfect alignment several times before). I'm thinking perhaps I might have a tweaked spindle or something. OR someone at some point popped my steering knuckle off for an install and put it back on cocked. My fix will be to pop the knuckle apart and put my steering wheel straight again.

That's all I got for now.

 

And yes, new leafs are on my list too lol, along with a new bedcage someday, as well as notching my frame for the shocks in the rear.

Fuck, me too. Almost there. Need one more big turnaround at work and I'm good.

 

No real new updates to the truck. Just made the final payment last night, waiting on the title now . Plan is to pay off a bunch of debt to buy a sports car of some kind, then once thats paid off probably park the truck at a fab shop for lots of upgrades

 

Do you have any diagrams, plans, or blueprints on how to make a bumper similar to yours? I cant find any good plans for a tube bumper....
