Hey guys can you guys keep an eye out for a Toyota pickup looking for like a 1990-1995 22re single cab 4x4. I have looked at a ton the last 4 months. I just can’t find one in decent shape!

 

Yes they are listed on ICONs website, was talking to 303shocks about sending them out, was trying to avoid 3 weeks of down time....is what it is I guess

 

If your serious maybe extend your looking to the Southwest USA !!

Then you have the Road Trip to get it home.

Even if you found one with a perfect body sitting in a decent garage the last 25 years it would still be a mechanical project .

Then if the critters have been nesting and chewing on the harness all bets are off

 

Honestly they look no worse to rebuild than a hydraulic cylinder which I do all the time at work. I'll probably at least try it myself when the time comes.

Spotted this Ram on the way in this morning and noticed something odd. Anybody ever seen an offset trailer hitch before?

That’s a new one on me. This thing has seen its share of Pennsylvania winters.

Hah, that thing's mint compared to some of the ones in my county. Honestly in a couple years the bumper on my truck might look like that. I spent yesterday spraying Fluid Film everywhere and inside the bumper is looking sketchy as Hell. I tried not to even look at it wrong in fear of it crumbling. The truck has definitely lived down by the beach during the summer, I'm still cleaning sand out of it...

I also decided to oil coat my driveway yesterday, yanno just for fun:



Yea it shot out way further than I expected (that's what he said...) and went all over me and the driveway. Then after I moved the pan the flow turned into a trickle and went all over the front. Seems every 10 minute job turns into a mess at my house...

 

Ah the smell of gear oil.

 

Between the gear oil and Fluid Film I was friggin rank. Gonna have to burn those clothes...

 

That should be a fun time. Went to San Diego a few years ago and it was really nice.

 

We had a guy slip and fall while carrying an open 5 gallon bucket of it.

He smelled for like a week. Had to burn his boots.

 

We change the oil in the gearboxes at work once a year, so for about 3 months we all smell like used gear oil. Glad I don't have to wash those clothes.

Although I will say the Way lubricant (Vactra 1 and 3) smell a shittone worse, just clean. When you open up the machine there is a serious funk, like rotting feet in a boot.
