That would be, but now he's made a huge mess that he'll have to clean super thoroughly if he ever wants paint to stick to that thing again.

i have fluctuating weather problems here, the paint said 70 to 90, I still have to spot blast quite a bit
plus there is forecasted cold 40s and rain this weekend, and this is all i could get done
cannot run around town with a naked frame :anonymous:

We didn't put the FF over the bare frame though right? Just the black painted parts of frame?

It looks like a zebra came all over the frame rail, painted or not

No, I mean you may be able to pressure wash most of the bulk but that fine fine layer that will just be pushed further and further in, must be some chemical you can use to get the FF off efficiently

I can attest that FF is not easy to remove. Especially if applied on top of CRC such as my case. The two form a moly grease esque substance when combined. Great for stopping corrosion, pita to clean off tools, clothes, skin, you get the point.

Even by itself it does not just "wash off" as many BS'ers on here love to preach. It soaks into the pores of the metal, goes through paint etc.

True, and I hate to say this but couldn't you have just painted the bare areas you blasted?

Removing the surface rust, and tackling the bare metal with a new layer of paint, would've been better than; leaving the frame as is for another winter or applying FF on a bare frame with haste.

Worst case, you could push this project aside until the weather clears up in a few months because really, 1 winter isn't going to destroy your frame. Whatever damage exists, is going to be there once you get back to it.

He's got a bad shoulder, back, and knees, and tries to do what he can. But I worry now about the bare frame with FF on it

I would've used a ton of newspaper, tape, plastic bags, etc. to cover what needs to be covered and go to town with aerosol paint cans.

It's a pretty funny joke if you know the evolutionary advantage they have to insure their bloodline advances

I just hold a piece of cardboard up with my other hand to block overspray as I only do a little spot at a time. Aint nobody got time fo painters tape and bags.
