I only wear either ariats or vans. I’ve got 2 pair high top vans and 3 pairs of low tops that I cycle through, but I’ve got more like 7-8 pairs laying around total. I love them. Make sure to get ones that don’t have the extra cushioned sole if you want them for lifting.

I just bought a pair of their MTE’s though. Water proof, insulated, super grippy, all leather high tops for like hiking... most comfortable shoe ever. Now that it’s getting colder I’m planning on wearing them everyday at work

Anyone want to buy some white nike romaleo 3’s? Size 11, probably worn 20 times just for squats. Haven’t used them in over a year and want to try to get some money back out of them.

Mark Bell just had a seminar this weekend (it should be up) and they recommend doing both sumo and conventional DL's for the best overall development.

Didn’t get much sleep last night, had to run some at work today (killed my shins, pull on steel toe boots that have over 500 miles on them suck for running) as well as load/unload about 200 metal barricades and then worked on the house after work.
This week is gonna suck but we should be moved in by the weekend so my schedule will improve greatly soon.

Am also fat and my belly hangs out like I'm on 600lb life lmao. Belly breathing and bracing is the key. Just imagine you are a can of coke that's been shaken up. If you have that pressure and are tight your frame stays strong, if you pop the top and lose that pressure you ain't holding shit. As for the setup, I'd say do whatever is comfy for you but don't waste time and lose that psych up. Personally, the longer I think about a lift the more I doubt myself.

Also screw lifting in Chucks and Vans... Maybe for deadlifts/bench (even bench I prefer a good athletic shoe with grip like metcons). For squats an Olympic/squat shoe with a raised heel will change your life. I see so many guys and gals working out in Chucks, I'm convinced its a fashion thing or just because Arnold mentioned them once. It's 2019.... shoe tech has come a long way.

But by all means, if you prefer them, than to each their own.

Some ppl need the heel lift. I don't. So anything flat works best for me, squats or DL. But yeah, for improved ankle angle, squatting shoes are great.
