My 2001 NH TC33D in "Logging Mode". Sundown GR20 Log Grapple on the front, Uniforest 35E Logging Winch on the back. Belly pan added underneath. FOPS (Falling Object Protection System) added above operator station. Limb Risers make driving through the woods much easier. Steel tire valve stem guards welded to front rims (haven't done the rears yet - CaCl filled rear tires make that tough to accomplish).

Two days ago I bought my first tractor - an early 80's Kubota L345DT. It needs a little work and a lot of cleaning but just like all of these old diesel motors, she runs like a top!

I've got 5 John Deere garden tractors, three of them are ~35 years old. '86 212, '86 214, and an '84 318. I'm restoring the 212 and 214 and will probably sell them once finished. The 318 has been restored and I use it often as my secondary mower. I also have a '02 GT235 that I keep at my mother's house to mow her 1/4 acre. My primary tractor is a 2008 X748 24 hp. diesel, optioned with a 3-point hitch, rear PTO and loader. I bought it new, and am trading it this week for a 2009 Deere 2520 26 hp. diesel compact tractor that only has 380 hours on it. The X7 has 1500 on it. The move up to a compact is my retirement present to myself. I'm getting a 62" deck and front loader with it.

Those are some nice looking garden tractors. All way nicer than my old LT155. Congrats on your retirement!

 

oh man, my grandad had a 240 for years. that's the tractor I learned to drive on. gah that picture just brought back some great memories! bushoggin fields and planting rows. I miss it so much

 

I got the 2520 home on Thursday, and mowed for 4 hours with it. As good as the smaller machine was, this one eclipses it by 10X. It rides smoother, the cut is wider and just as clean. For a ten-year old tractor, it looks almost new. Some very minor scratches on top of the hood, but they don't go through the paint. I'm getting familiar with it, reading the manuals and fixing minor issues, like the plastic covers/plugs for the hydraulic hose ends (that keep crud out when they're disconnected). Giving all the grease fittings a good shot of grease, and there are a lot of them.

 

Here’s my 1960 Massey Ferguson 35 with the Perkins diesel. I use it for brush hogging, running round bales to the animals in winter, plowing snow, digging post holes, pulling the firewood and brush trailer and moving other stuff around. Hope to run some square baling equipment with it in the future.

 

AWESOME tractor!!. When I was about 15, I got to plow a 10 acre field with one of those and a double bottom plow. It was more fun than work, just listening to that Perkins thrum along. No power steering wears you out, though, and I had to stand on the clutch when shifting gears, I was a skinny guy back then.

Good ideal many old farmers were killed with old tricycle tractor flip over backwards.

 

I find myself standing on the clutch as well sometimes and the brakes don’t exactly stop on a dime, but I do really love this tractor. It’s got a rugged, ragged, stinky, leaky, indestructible soul. I’ve had it only a couple years now and have gone through replacing wear items and seals and redoing wiring, fluids, and filters. Looking forward to a long future with this tractor and putting it to some work.

Power steering, 4wd and a loader would sure be nice but that’s why I just need to buy another tractor to complement this tank.

 

87-96 Kubota B4200D with 500 hours. A pint sized powerhouse with a 2 cylinder diesel and clutch. 3hi/3lo and 2 reverse. A whopping 12.5 hp and a 10 hp 2 speed PTO rear and mid.

I've got new AG tires coming for it, but the turfs do ok enough in 4wd or locking the rear. I have an irrational love for this thing lol. My plans are to convert it to power steering by grabbing the hydraulics off of it and building a FEL.
