my 05 dcsb w/ V6 engine(I don’t know how much more this weighs compared to 4 cylinder) currently has a 3” coil spacer lift (not strut spacer). I was going to wait to buy a front bumper for when I install a BDS 6” coil over suspension lift to hold the weight. (need to save up for the new wheels/tires since I need to go bigger to clear hardware). However extreme terrain was having an insane sale a week ago on the bumper I wanted(ICI magnum RT) for 625.00 with free shipping so I couldn’t pass that up. This leads to my questions.
    1) Do you think my current suspension (stock TRD OffRoad springs with the preload of the lift spacer) will handle the weight of the bumper(with out the winch installed), Or should I hold off installing until i put the new lift on?
    2) Can someone tell me if the “off road” version has a higher spring rate then base or is it just that it is a progressive spring?
    3) if I will have sag from weight how much do you think?
    4) Will the Fox 2.5 coil over that comes with BDS lift handle above mentioned bumper and winch?

I will include a pic of my front tire and wheel well gap for you to see how I currently am sitting with the stock bumper.

Any and all help will be very much appriciated.38B64345-53CB-46A3-80D9-136E181EA70E.jpg

The added weight will cause the front to sag. The coil is what gives the lift, so suppressing the coil which I believe is a 600lbs coil will cause it to sag. So I would hold off installing till you get everything in order

Bummer, I was hoping the off road had stronger springs or that any sag would be minimal. My truck sits level so I was thinking if it did sag it might just look like the stock rake. (I hope I using the correct terms).
Although the Dick Dastardly (I’m probably aging myself lol) side me says that if I put it on and it does sag to much I have a good excuse why a NEED to do the lift and tires now instead of waiting.(at least that would be my argument when talking to my wife)lolol

I think I have wrong info as to my current lift. I was reading through the fab tech lift instructions and they called their lift spacer a “coil spacer” and it is the type that bolt onto the top of the complete strut assembly. So I must have them backwards unless fabteks instructions are wrong. The lift spacer I currently have is the one that sits directly on the coil spring inside the strut assembly which is why I was talking about any preload.

I was reading that sometimes on a progressive spring that if it is collapsed by a spacer it might act like it has a slightly higher rate.

Sometimes there are just to many options. Lol. It was so much easy working on my ‘42 Willy’s faltfender when I had her

Looks like it weighs 170lbs? I’d guess that your front would sit about 1/2” lower at least.

I have 650# springs and my front sagged about 1/4” after installing the eBay/allpro knock off front bumper.

then I added sliders and it dropped another 1/4” lol.

Thanks for the info 999. I have the tyger 3 bar sliders. The bolt on kind right now. Will be moving to weld on ones later. So there will definitely be weight. Stock rake is what/ 7/8”. Any body have a heavy bumper on the 6” lift fox 2.5 coil overs. Do they hold the weight ok.
