    I will definitely be getting shorter on the next bike I buy, I'm having to have self control on spending too much money on a $300 bike and just waiting to get my next one. This one has for sure gotten me into the sport and addicted.

    N+1 is the rule. :)

    N = number of bikes you currently own.

    Balance that with S-1.

    S = number of spouses.

    wait what? lol

    so N = 1 right now.

    so N+1 = 2.

    balance with S-1? S=0, so S-1 = -1. So (N+1) + (S-1) = 1

    lol S = GF so what does that account for?

    N will probably equal 2 next year.

    I actually first got back into biking after a long hiatus when I got my first Dh rig off of pink bike. Man there are some solid deals if you don’t kind used. I havnt shopped for a bike in over three years now as all mine are still quite capable, but PB is a great platform to try out a bike for a while and see if you like it if there arnt any local shops that have anything to play with.

    That said I need to dust off my m9 this week and see how the pads are on it. Believe it or not I randomly met @Nimble9 at launch bike park before they shutdown in PA. That place had so many big hits it was pretty cray and def kept the adrenaline up. Who knew he was on here as well.

    haha was I on a demo or a tr500? It's been a while and they shut that place down :( It was beyond sketchy haha but it was so fun.

    @stronghammer here's a link for PinkBike - Buy/Sell

    There are typically good deals on here, and check your local FB market place. I've found gems on there.

    My N is going +1 next week... if all goes as planned. Then my original can be rebuilt and put back in to road duty.

    yeah I've been browsing, but I'm not ready to buy just yet...financials tied up elsewhere.

    but I'm also fairly certain in what I'm looking for and the used market for what I want doesn't seem to be there.

    hardtail, 29er, 1x drivetrain. seems everyone buys 1 of those, if any, and just holds onto it. lots of full squishes out there for sale but I'm not interested or ready for that at this point.

    Full squish FTW. I love mine, but want to buy a better one. A good hard tail is a lot of fun too.

    I just don't see myself getting the full advantage of it yet, or anytime soon. You did very well on yours at Oak Mtn, but I also think you would've done the same on a hardtail...unless you're planning on blasting those jumps and such. I know a good hardtail is capable of way more than I am comfortable with haha

    I can tell you I was probably more comfortable going through the rough stuff, but a hardtail would have made climbs a lot more sustainable.

    well you also don't lower your seat lol, I don't have my butt on the seat through any rough stuff so...

    @Nimble9 this is what I've found close to me that I really like on PB, but I'm just not ready to buy yet.

    I literally can't lower it but an inch. I'd have to saw off part of my seat tube.
