You can use the bracket if you want to use it, it's not required to be used

So if it's possible to use the brackets, then why not use them as Toyota intended?

it says cat and non-cat dump tube tunes - but if you read all the tunes there are stock exhaust and 4.88 tunes included that are not dump tube tunes.

those brackets took the Toyota Engineers a lot of hours to engineer. So the price of our Tacoma's had to be increased at least $10K to pay for their superb R&D. Maybe we could all take them off and get a price rebate!? Probably no way in $#%% that would happen. I am leaving mine on to increase the coefficient of drag so my Gen3 stays firmly planted on the pavement!

The bracket doesn't line up with the threaded flange hole so the brackets would have to be bent to be used, at least on mine and one other decatted down tube owner. Bending the bracket, I think, would put stress on the DTs and cylinder head studs.

I agree. I average 18 mpg's going 75 mph using cruise on flat road. Going 40 in town it goes up.

On my old Tacoma I ran a header on my 2.7l. The new header didn't have a heat shield attached to it but many other forum members had used the header without any reported issues. I was pulling a load up elevation and the truck was working hard. I stopped at the top and when pushing on the brake I had nothing. Scared the sh!t out of me. The header had heated a brake line that ran along the frame and boiled the brake fluid. Good thing I had stopped at the top before proceeding down.
Anytime I see an aftermarket part that doesn't use all the hardware that was originally attached I start to wonder about the consequences.

    Feedback on latest EROM 2.0 Beta 19800 (04B31, Support Request# 10688.

Long story short, I really miss the aggressive tip in that was observed in the previous version from 3-4 weeks ago and also in 1.05 Performance. Now, the tip in feels almost stock and is just not as fun to drive. Notable improvements in 2nd gear or higher with consistent throttle response throughout entire RPM band. If we can combine this with aggressive tip in, it'll be icing on the cake.

Is there anyone that’s on 04a61 that likes 19770 tip in? I get the feeling it’s way different on the 18.

thats exactly what i was referring to regarding the different ECU's and how the tune affects them. 19770 on 04B31 is a Dream! Just wish there was an 87 octane version due to rising gas prices.

Not me. Way too twitchy. 19800 is an improvement, but I still don't like it very much.

Add me to the “did not like” list. As I mentioned earlier, I broke traction trying to back into my driveway. That was during a period in which we had about 6 drops of rain in the previous 30 days, so wet roads wasn’t the culprit.

Yah, so the 18 is just different, that’s good to hear. I couldn’t believe so many people liked it, but that makes sense.

I think 04A61 also had the dead pedal at highway issue that Mat fixed pretty quick on an early OLE.
