Once this Heavy Duty Anti Rust which is a wax/oil based substance is applied you can not apply any other coatings on top which dry solid such as the Internal Frame coating without completely stripping off all of the Heavy Duty Anti Rust coating first.

    Makes sense.

As I said before - blast rust from frame, prep frame for paint, apply anti rust over paint (FF or any other similar product) sit back and enjoy.

I'm sure they do, but maybe there aren't a lot of customers out there asking for this kind of work.

How often do we find a new person join the forum all because someone else told them about the rust on their frame; some of these people have owned their truck for awhile even.

Those that are knowledgeable, take things into their own hands rather than go into a shop.

    Just my theory anyway :notsure:

Fortunately, my hands will be tied up tomorrow.

Only thing I'm not looking forward to is the drive.

the dealer service departments here knows NOTHING about these old frames

that is where I started at to see where I need to go and they were clueless

like it was beneath them to help me out and find somewhere locally

OMG - It turned out to be a rodent problem. We took the car to the dealer and found a rodent had chewed up the injector harness. I think I have a roll of this Honda Rodent tape somewhere. Now you know why I double wrapped the Tacoma's knock sensor wiring harness to keep something this from happening to it. I need to get another working indoor/outdoor "tuxedo cat" to patrol the premises. LOL

You're that small percentage of customers that own a much older vehicle, and still get any type of work done at the dealer.

Dealerships cater to the newer vehicles, more specifically, the customer base they've created with the vehicles they've sold. And if they're servicing a vehicle that they did not sale to said customer, that customer will eventually buy a vehicle from said dealer.

    It's how it works.

Ask @Empty_Lord and he'll tell ya.
