No worries but @TK-422 brought it up first! He just has more expensive tastes then I do! Of course if you have the need, budget or skill set, the one he listed is a better option.

We built our previous house and I remember swearing I will never build another house. 26 years later I found this property and forgot all about the previous building nightmares. Sort of like the forgetfulness of parents having another child after swearing the last one was it for good. I told my wife this baby is a 15 pound breech SOB. But, once it's done a 100' walk to fishing and 300' to the boat launch will help me forget the birthing pains.

Yeah it’s an amazing view. I like the idea of contacting the cabinet builder about refacing. Hell I might just contact a carpenter. Some things are worth paying for just to avoid the headache!

I am wanting to add an outlet between my 2 car and third car garage doors. I keep my air compressor here and want to have an outlet for the winter time for starting my snowblower plus other advantages to having additional power. I am trying to avoid running electrical cords if at all possible is my main purpose for this project.

My issue, is the wall that I will be putting the outlet inside of is not insulated. My garage is not insulated either other than walls that side with living spaces and is not a conditioned space. Since this outlet will be going in a non-insulated wall, is there anything I have to consider when choosing an oldwork gang box? special insulated boxes or conduit to run inside the wall rather than just straight romex?

    Thank you in advance.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You can use the same stuff you would as if it were insulated.

I would use MC cable, just because I think its a better product (screws deflect of it better) and cost is negligible and a metal elec box is fine.

For you contractors and do it your-selfers, apparently this is a thing now. First time seeing it for me.

Bit speedy at $700’ish but man is it better than a big gas saw.

Saw it in operation and it works like a champ.

Front of the house windows and siding is done. The brick is getting the German smear/ lime wash treatment, and board and batten cedar shutters for the windows. Going to trim out the front porch and do a cedar shake siding for the small porch gable.

We’re deciding on a black front door or a wood stained front door, I like black but the wife wants the wood look to match the rest of the cedar we’ll have.

There can be a major price difference from a black door and a wood stained. Like thousands possibly.

The door we put in is primed fiberglass with the wood grain in it. Wife found a video from ZAR brand stain with them demonstrating how you can stain the fiberglass and it actually coming out looking like wood. Looks pretty slick.

That's pretty cool. Nothing gets on my nerves like the dulcet tones of 4 demo saws running full tilt echoing off a wall.
