I was going through the list of places they're installed and I saw Sac State on the list. The Smithsonian and Wynn Macau are also on it, crazy.

 

Should I just get UCA’s then? How much are stock ball joints?

 

About $40 per side. Gonna need a good impact gun and a ball joint press to replace them.

You're gonna need an adjustable wrench made for removing the nuts on bridges if you want to go that route haha.

I used a pipe wrench the first time around, it did not go well.

 

yeah after experiencing the 6.7 in 1994 down here in LA (was the night we moved here from TX), every quake I've felt since has felt like a slight jostling in comparison.

Is it better to do that other than just replacing by the boots? I don’t think they have play in them. The rubber is just torn.

 

Just replace them, you can't buy the boots by themselves.
