    Hi guys,

I did a search and couldn't find the answer to what is a simple question I am sure. I have a new 2010 Tacoma TRD Access Cab with 3,000 miles on it. I have had it for two months. On the way to work this morning a red indicator light next to the gas gauge started blinking. It looks like a frame with 4 wheels.

I don't have my owners manual here so I cannot look up what that indicator is for.

What subsystem is it for and any idea what might be the problem ?

Also, I can take the truck to any Toyota Dealership for warrenty service correct ?

    Thanks.

    Dan

Yes any dealer. Did you hit the button for your locker? (called RR Diff) it's on the left side of the dash.

yes 4x4 and no I didn't hit the locker button. Just driving to work on the highway this morning, nice dry day.

When I got to work I shifted into 4 wheel just to see if that was the indicator for that (no, that indicator is green and just above the red one) and it made no difference on the red indicator blinking.

I did get one, it was home on the night stand since I was still reading it. The light came on in the morning on my way to work.

I know this is a really old post but this helped me out. Thanks! My rear diff button was pressed in, i was so worried it meant something was wrong with my differential.

    Did that years ago....
Then i moved it.... ignore the other wires behind the open switch block, i was working on something else. Since i moved the diff lock switch so far from the fog button, ive not made the mistake again.
