all the Elocker housings are ABS wether the truck had ABS or not. like i said name a price and we'll figure shipping when your done. i have to talk to my father first of course

(or maybe we can do a trade for a rebuildable elocker third...)

I hAve a fame that needs to be a roller. I can save for both no issue if i want

 

give me srunner and i'll give you drivetrain and shit to make it a running roller

 

Sounds good. I would consider a trade for a third core, I'm thinking I will want/need a spare for each, especially if I put the 1UZ in like I keep talking about

ive got 3 with 3.73 gears that need a rebuild. just ask and we'll talk lol

im only keeping one. because i will likely shred mine later on.

 

Since my revelation about the timeline before Moab I am very nervous about getting the truck done. I am also very excited about going to Moab

 

My JY MAF came in, I really hope it fixes my CEL

 

Oh, y'all are still talking about gears. Probably gonna setup my front and rear diffs myself come spring time. Hopefully it isn't too tough, the gears and bearing kits are only like $800 out the door

If I wasn't crunched for time I would be doing my own as well. One of my friends is a Fabricator and builds Toyotas and really encouraged me to do it on my own since it's more tedious than it is technical

 

Toyota diff arent too hard just tedious.. but i still hate doing it.

 

Do you happen to know if the elocker diff requires extra backlash shims, for some reason they suggest it does, but it has adjusters just like the front

i dont remember messing with shims. just the adjuster. but ive heard some require shims. ive only messed with one elocker diff. mostly 8.4" rebuilding at work. and even thats rare

 

all this gear talk has me wondering if i can make use of the Tundra 10.5" pig i have laying around... that would be a beefy thing to have under a taco.

 

I could just put the s runner on the 4wd frame at that point

You can use any 3rd. I asked ecgs. They said i could send in any Toyota core the build and get what ever i want back.

 

im debating sending them my ugliest front diff and installing a freshly rebuilt one under the 01.
