Yea, 80's been shut for hours. Hit the ave from Oakland and start running back roads. Hwy 4 is open still. Damn fire just flared again.theres tanks of jet fuel out there also.

 

Was thinking if it's a Cantonese speaking region, I could do the condescending Chinese guy thing.

The gag being that Chinese people from the motherland believe *everything* from the state sponsored news and trashy tabloids. Typically this would cause them to get a sinking feeling like they're going to lose their lives. The same kind of feeling you get when someone pulls a gun on you.

But hey... that gas tax is going straight to the roads. I pinky swear! They wont go to any thing BUT the roads.

 

It must suck living in a place you obviously dislike soo very much... This is the only response I can come up with at the moment to your thinly veiled barb at politics and your obvious direction. It warms the cockles of my heart to know that I am not the minority in the way that I enjoy my freedoms and care for others here in this great state. It may not be perfect, but we definetly strive to be better and treat other with dignity and respect.

 

Wasn't a barb at politics at all. Was a barb at how absolutely stupid and gullable some people in this State are. Has absolutely nothing to do with politics.

I swore off talking politics on this forum... it's against the rules. I would appreciate it if you would leave politics out of the discussion.

But you are right... I do hate this State. It's like bathing in toxic waste every day.

I, too hate this state. $4 a gallon, ridiculous taxes on everything, and being nannied to death over everything from what time schools could start to what I can and can't say to the "housing impaired" that shit everywhere.

I plan on leaving as soon as my time is up also... just gotta figure out where to now.
