I think i only shoot 155 gran .308 if I remember right. Usally always fmj unless its for hunting then hollow point. As for all my other guns it’s basically what ever i buy

 

That's nothing try a 700 grain 50 Cal that's when you know you mean business

When accuracy is involved, you want to match the ideal bullet weight with the right barrel twist; here's an example for .223

1/10 twist will run something as light as 48gr

1/6.5 twist will run something as heavy as 75gr

Then you've got cartridge overall lengths, and distance between the lands (the o-give to the barrel).

You also have loads, which can be loaded heavier or lighter, to change bullet velocity measured in feet per second.

Barrel harmonics come into play when you're looking for accuracy nodes as well.

It's all fun as hell and I teach it to people too.

i love when i start talking barrel twist to someone that wants accuracy and they look at me blindly and still complain why their expensive match grade heavy weight ammo is keyholing. lol

 

I don't approach people at the range unless they're violating a safety rule; then I put someone in check real quick.

Used to teach people discipline so all the RSO's at the nearby range know me.

But yeah when I'm waiting for my barrel to cool down, I'll look down at other targets and just facepalm.

When I do talk to someone though, it's either because they approached me to ask me about something, or I middle in when I hear 1 shooter give another shooter shitty advice.

 

I have a 5.56 barrel amd shoot .223

As you can tell i dont care about accuracy lol.

though i need to start hand loading my 25-20. Rounds cost more then a .308 and that are impossible to find because they arnt manufactured anymore

and 12guage is jusr what ever lol

 

Man that 25-20 is such a amazing gun to shoot. I need to take it out one day

 

i was talking more my idiot friends that think precision is in the ammo. lol i avoid people at the range unless they are doing something stupid or have questions.
