I replace my factory air intake with a k&n cold air, I been driving for about a year, my truck is making a weird sound, like a belt that needs to replace.( that's the sounds it make...not a belt problem), the dealer said that the change in filter may have caused the rear main seal to lose its seal, low oil pressure came up for 2 seconds a couple of times, no oil leaking, when oil cap is off sound goes away. Could it be anything else??

They could be right, without pressure readings it could be anything.

oil pump, PCV, clogged oil passage.... more info is needed.

why did you blow money on the KnN HOT air thing? Your truck came stock with a CAI that filters better and keeps water ingestion at a minimum...

They probably figured you'd buy their bs because you bought a k&n super warm air intake.

reminds me of the last time i got my oil changed at an oil change place (9 years ago). The guy explained to me that ethanol in the gas caused carbon buildup.... And thats why he works at an oil change place and i dont trust any of those guys to touch my cars

I didn't know, this is my first truck. Guess I didn't do enough research, they told me to return it to stock, which I did, but they marked my vin that I had change out the air intake, so they won't cover it
