I get this may be an interesting topic but What is there to learn from this? How would anyone know when or if this will happen? I’m not saying it won’t. I’m just saying it’s pretty much impossible to know at this point.

I mean, you do you, but basically you’re just asking people to guess at something they have no knowledge of.

Entertainment is something that can be gained from predicting the future. Does everything have to give useful data?

This one's for fun to see who is right if/when this happens.

Because it starts a conversation and gets people engaged? I personally didn’t know what this was until reading his post so it’s already serving a purpose.

Oh boy. Just wait until @PJTACO and @desertjunkie760 find out that we have event recorders already.

Specifically for vehicle use or are you talking in general?

It's amusing to read about people worried about Toyota's telematics being used against them while simultaneously cruising around the net leaving their metadata in every corner of the virtual world. We don't just use technology. We live and breath technology. It's to your benefit and your detriment at the same time.

    In general. From my OM:

    upload_2019-10-16_10-4-34.jpg

    upload_2019-10-16_10-5-1.jpg

I believe that this can be accessed by TS, but I was not successful the one time that I tried.

Cruising the net? I just saw a video one of our guys posted about how they can track every single movement you make, including when you get in and out of cars and exactly where you’ve been and your phone doesn’t even have to be on or have a chip in it.

Yeah but when will it be used against you, that's the question. Obviously I know there's event recorders. You can get a lot more data from cars with TSS, however.

Google Timeline is pretty freaking sweet. It can be very inaccurate sometimes since it is generally using background data. Still, I sort of use it as a trip logger.

    Sorry. It wasn't obvious.

It depends what data is recorded. Video is much larger than processor logs. I am being a bit lazy to compare what is in the 2018+ OMs compared to what I posted above.
