Yeah I don’t think it malfunctioned... I just think it was an odd angle and frankly I will probably never know where it hit.

I just think that the blood trails on 10 ring deer shots with mechanicals just haven’t been that impressive or penetration for that matter. I have had less pass through a with mechanicals though I will say. Also, I did actually have an earlier generation Rage open in flight and that was not cool.

The only reason I went back was to try and get a broad head that flew just like a field point. They do well but fixed fly just as well IMO looking back. I did give the mechanicals another try, but after this season I still think I am going to switch to fixed again.

Guy in here at work wants to get into bowhunting. Asked me what I thought the best broadhead is. That's easy. One that is scary, scary, super sharp, and flies perfect out of a well tuned bow.

Anybody excited about the new bear EKO bows? I’m going to pick up a Divergent EKO in veil stoke. 90% left off is going to be sweet at 70#

My PSE has 80/85/90. I found 90% real nice for holding, but let down is pretty sketchy. You almost have to push it forward

I have 2, one 2017 and a 2019, haven't had an issue with either, but they aren't budget bows either

I have been using my Bear method for 6 years got thousands of shots. I've grown attached to the bears because they're affordable

I've had 7 (I think) PSE bows over the years. So far I've had no problems out of any of them. I currently shoot a Brute Force and love it. I think it's about 3 years old and was around $450 new. Definitely not their top of the line bow at the time but I had an older make of the Brute Force years ago and it was a really good bow. This one seems to be as well.

You can get an Evolve 31 or 35 for 350~, basically the same exact bow as their new one, and that's a helluva lot of bow for the money

I generally buy the budget bows. They don't really advertise them, but some of them are really good bows.

You guys think those Zippo hand warmers are gonna be a problem in high pressure areas because of the smell of the fuel burning?

Also looking at the usb charged ones.

I use those disposable ones all the time, trying to find something to replace them, so I'm not carrying around a bunch of them all the time.

Good question. I would like to know also. I do know people use those propane heaters in their blinds and stuff. Not sure if propane even smells though. I’ve never really used it.

    Right.

If they're like the lighters, they gotta have some kinda smell.

I use one of the buddy heaters in our blind with the little propane bottle screwed on it, it does produce an odor. It's bearable to whoever is in the blind but I try to only use it when the wind is blowing in my favor for where I'm hunting.

I was in a box blind once trying to light it with the igniter, the igniter snaps and is loud. I had clicked it about 3-4 times and looked up and there's a deer standing there looking at me from 20 yards away. I grabbed the rifle and shot it, if it's your time, it's your time :D

All our gun blinds had wood stoves in them but then again we don't get up close and personal like with a bow. The deer on our property are pretty sensitive to stuff. I've got busted a bunch by old does that huff at even the slightest scent.

Our gun blind is up to 165 yards, that's it and it turns to woods.

I tell my nephew all the time "killing a big doe with a bow is harder than killing a big buck with a bow". He says why? I say that mother instinct, lol.
