I'm finally a member of the Toyota family and after doing some suspension research I wanted to make sure I'm headed in the right direction. I'll give a quick run down below...

I've got a 2016 TRD Off Road with 60k miles and it's my daily driver. I'm not going to be doing intense rock crawling but will be doing some moderate off roading on my way to camp sites. Future plans include slim front bumper with winch, sliders and a bed rack with a RTT. Of course I'll have a decent amount of gear in the bed (water, gas, supplies, etc... ).

    Bilstein 5100 Shock Set - $340

    OME 885 Coil Spring - $175
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CJ1VXXG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A2UUWCCR4G5EFA&psc=1

KYB Mount Kit - $20 ( is this needed? )
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C7S0KA8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

    BFG KO2 275/70/17 - $225 x 5

Because I'm not going to be running a heavy rear bumper do I need Dakar leaf springs? It will be spring / summer when I get a bed rack and RTT.

I've tried doing some research as I'm extremely new to this but started to get a little overwhelmed and needed to start this thread knowing I'll be another one of those guys with a suspension thread...

You don't need the mounts -- you can reuse the ones on your stock struts. If you want to lift the rear you'll need to look at options to do that (AAL, block, what have you) as the shocks don't provide lift on their own. I went with a 3-leaf AAL in the rear and have bed bars + RTT and there's no sag. I imagine the factory leaf pack without any extra goodies might sag slightly, but by no means do you need to get the Dakar pack. You've got lots of options. If you're set on KO2's then you might consider looking at a Costco membership. With the Holidays coming up they usually have good deals on KO2's and, often, they're so cheap that you'll get new tires + a Costco membership and still be under what other shops (even Amazon) will give you. Check out Headstrong Offroad -- they have some nice lift kit packages.

Daily Driver and moderate trails? I would skip the E's. Sure they are comforting to know that you have them on the trail. But they are a PITA for a daily driver. And if you run them for many miles, better get ready for tie rod / drag link modifications too. Just my $0.02

    Thanks for the replies!

Seems to be a general opinion that Head Strong is the way to go for ordering my suspension so I'll be giving them my money. Before I start throwing my money around I want to make sure I'm in the clear...

This is what I'm going with:

Bilstein 5100s with OME 2885 in front and an Icon AAL in the rear. This should give me a level ride and be plenty of support for a bed rack and RTT in the near future?

Pro Comp 40 Series Vertigo wheels. Should I go 0 offset or -6?

I'm wanting to go 285/70 but want to make sure I'm in the clear as far as rubbing and not needing anything else for this to fit. Here is a video of my inspiration:

An AAL should be fine if you keep your overload leaf in there. I noticed my rear rode a tiny bit harsher with the overload left in, but once I put my tent back there it rode much better than factory. Up to you to decide -- it's not very difficult to take leafs off.

0's should be enough to clear the UCAs with 285s.
