Premium but NO Apps for you!

I just purchased from Carmax about a month ago and can't sort this Entune system. Is it possible that I could have the Entune Premium Audio but not have access to the app suite? The VIN won't not work at the website. I emailed Ask Toyota and they replied that I just have the audio and not equipped with the app suite. Plan to run it by service tomorrow since it's still under warranty. (The image I uploaded was one I found online that is identical to mine)

 

did you download the Entune app on your phone? i was under the impression that it needed to connect to the phone app through Bluetooth to get access to the app suite on the head unit.

 

The apps are trash anyway. You’re not missing anything

 

I have Entune on my phone but it doesn't connect to HU. The bluetooth connects fine so I get phone and streaming audio.

 

I've heard that. BUT I want everything working so i can judge for myself.

 

Look up your VIN here to see what radio it came with. If someone added that one, I believe you need the VIN it came from (or maybe any VIN that came with the premium audio?) to link it on your phone.

What happens when you press the Apps button?

 

Honestly, it’s not that bad. Sure it could be better but I’ve been using it with no problems since I bought the truck.

 

I've signed up on that link and it gives no standard equipment list. This truck should have come with this unit standard though.

When I press the Apps button just the Nav, Audio, Eco, System, etc. No weather or traffic or anything else.

 

This is all I get.

Damn that sucks, do yourself a favor go back to Carmax and demand they put an aftermarket radio in since they lied about the premium audio.

 

There are only two apps. And both are useless. iheartradio and slacker radio. You really aren’t missing anything.

 

You'll have to let us know. Try this VIN in the Entune App, looks like it has the same radio.

Someone could steal my app suite in the middle of the night and I'd never know it was gone.
Haven't used them since I realized, much like the factory Nav, they too, were useless. Day one or two, I suppose.

 

Also, check that you are on the latest firmware:

I haven’t used the apps since they got rid of pandora. even that was garbage
