So is water supposed to leak out of this or what? I dont have a ton but its constantly dribbling out when it's raining. I can see a wet spot on the steps where the hole is located which means water is coming out even when its shut. Wouldnt this cause the door bottom to rust out? Lol

That’s exactly where mine is leaking. The bend in the metal in the center of your picture. This can’t be normal.

Doors have drain holes so it doesn't collect in there..

So normal.. The water comes through from the corners of the exterior seal for the sliding window channels. ALL cars do this and if the metal is treated properly and free to drain without moisture accumulation, which those holes allow, it should not rust.

But moisture is accumulating. When it drains from here, it puddles on the threshold because it’s trapped between the inner and outer weatherstripping. It’s common for the 3rd gens to get rust on the threshold and this is probably why. Take a look at your doors, there are drain holes at the very bottom. The place where we’re getting water is not a drain hole. Why would they put a drain hole that directed water between the inner and outer weatherstripping? That wouldn’t make sense because the water can’t drain until the door is opened.

The drain holes are all the way out at the edge of the door, it simply drains thru the doors and down the rocker panels. If you are parked sideways across a slope then I imagine some water could collect a little but would dissipate as soon as you started driving.

711F42DE-9084-4B33-8753-976DF8B55548.jpg Here’s a pic of the inside of the door. Not my pic. I’ve circled the areas where we’re getting water. Now look at where the plastic vapor barrier goes. It’s been removed in this pic but you can clearly see that water should only be on the inside of the door. My guess is the vapor barrier is not sealed properly, allowing water to get between the door panel and draining out in the area I e circled.

That’s not where we have water coming from. I realize those are the drains but we have water between the plastic door panel and the inside of the door frame. Can’t be normal as there would be no point in having the plastic vapor barrier. The whole reason for the vapor barrier is to keep the water on the inside of the door. We have water on the other side of the vapor barrier. Reference the pic above.

Condensation building up on the inside of the vapor barrier, still totally normal... the indentations stamped (so that it's not totally sealed up) are there to allow for this type of drainage.

No. It leaks immediately when I wash my truck. It’s not condensation.

There's gotta be something in the way that the water is leaking down and into the door panel. Or the door is completely clogged / full.

I have the same problem ( drivers side) also water on the sill but im also getting water though my speaker grill inside to the inside of the truck. So I ordered silicone speaker baffles and that took care of that problem. I checked the drainage holes and everything is clear. I think it’s the window seal. I really don’t want to take it to the dealer cause there a bunch of friken idiots

Edit The silicon speaker baffles actually improved the sound ( Kicker KS speaker)

have you replaced your speakers / messed with that plastic at all?
It’s very common for people to not put that plastic barrier back correctly after removing it creating the problem you describe. It’s usually either creased, set incorrect around things like the door handle cables, or crap speaker installation.
Water is designed to enter the door, you can’t stop that, But if you don’t get that barrier right water will wick down cables and bypass the barrier coming out between the door panel and door on the inside rather than the weep holes at the bottom of the door.

The vapor barrier is not affected when replacing the speaker. It’s 4 bolts the speaker comes out then back in

Already mentioned, but your window seal is not going to keep all the water out. Its normal, I've replaced enough speakers in enough vehicles over the years, water always gets in.

Then I’d take it to the dealer, if you’d removed it then they probably wouldn’t touch it, but since you haven’t let them fix it.
