Wondering if it will fit under without me fabing the bracket wider.

Yes, it'll fit just fine. You're looking at a tire that is 31.6" diameter, vs. stock which is 31" (and in reality, both are slightly smaller).

OP's question has been answered. But if your wondering how big you can go I have a 285/70/17 stuffed under there after a little love from my favorite 1st gen tool (5lb sledge)

Sweet, I could not fit a 295/70R17 as it hit the shackles

Other side sits flush. Might use @RDT415 Favorite tool and hammer away. To lazy to bring out the oxy/acetylene torch or remove the bracket and extend it. This Southern California Crisp Autumn 90 Degree weather has me lazy ;p hahahha
Anyways just posting the pics in case someone has the same question. Thanks Everyone

why not just ditch the bracket entirely? fit anything you want, within shackle reason of course, and added bonus the spare sits 1 inch higher off the ground.

Hmmm you're right. I'll have a look into that. Have you done that to yours?

Kinda. My bracket was missing when I bought my truck. I got a new carrier assembly and hung a spare tire back there before I even realized I was missing some other pieces...[IMG]

dents and missing bits, built in the Gravel garage, hillbilly trained mechanic…
Watch for contact with your exhaust pipe.
I had contact issues when I upgraded to 16” tires- went with 235/85r16 Toyos. The stock exhaust contacted the tread and melted a small groove in the tread. Lucky for me I had not yet installed a Borla, and with the correct rear hanger and ugly mount heaps of clearance, and no melt issues after this recent (early Oct) AlCan trip.

No, Unless you mess with the bracket a little. If you do.. I don't know if it will clear the exhaust etc.. maybe someone will chime in.
