Rebuilt the knuckles! It looks the same except like 2 more shiny bits. Also put thicker gauge starter cable in so it doesn't take half a day to start. Sorry for the boring thread so far. :bored: I got a CB on the way, as well as some other things (Corbeau bucket seats). Ignore the messy garage lol.

    Here's a pic just because :p

Got a Uniden 520XL! Mounted the antenna mount to the rear of the truck but the antenna hasn't come in yet. Ran the coax too.

Did a rear diff breather mod. Ran the other end up to the tail light. Sadly, it took all the fuel line that I had to get it to the taillight, so I have to get some more for the front diff. Ghetto'ed it out but it works great. Function over form am I right guys? I'll probably do this with legitimate parts down the road.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone.....

Firestik antenna came in today! It's quite a bit taller than I was expecting, but it definitely gets the job done. It won't break when I wheel it because I got the spring on there which is nice.

Dude this thing is still sick! If its a project and you got some mad dough burning a whole in your pocket you could make something crazy or even restore it.

Thanks! I wish they were on modern trucks in North America. I have used these tie-down hooks countless times when making trips to the dump or other places.

Here's my proudest haul (it was tarped after this photo):

Kinda look like mine from years ago, but in a long bed version and way way cleaner looking.... idk about you, but damn I hate those 22R! Swap over to a 22RET on mine.

Like everything about it, just hate the 22R engine. Especially here in Cali with smog. Those carb had to be rebuilt every other year it seem, just to pass the sniffer test. Got fed up with it, swap over to a efi turbo from a 86.

I understand. Severely underpowered and such. This was originally a CA truck, but since it's now up here in WA I can legally de-smog it. Which I plan to do. But the thing that sets the 22r apart from others, in my opinion, is reliability and drivetrain upgrades. Overall the simplicity. I doubt that I will kill this thing, but if I do I will probably swap in a 22re or 22rte so I don't have to deal with a carb and have more power, or (provided enough money) a modern Toyota 4cyl or 6cyl. But I don't think the purists will like that. But hey, different strokes for different folks :p

How much weight have you put in it? The most I did was a yard of three quarter minus. Backend went straight to the ground but I had a six inch lift so not sure how strong the springs were. Still got up to 60 mph!

I can't remember, but I think it was a little over or a little under a yard. It was wet. That cow poo felt like I had an entire truck in my truck. It exceeded the Tacoma's bed weight limit which was about 60-70% of a yard (and it let us know). Both of us managed to get to 65mph steadily on the way home. This little pickup felt right at home with that heavy load.
