You guys have my respect. I'm one of the owner representatives. I make sure the all the data networks and other technology is done to our standard. The site supers amaze me by not killing a sub or two. Or for that matter not killing an owner or two. On the current job a bunch of the "VP" level office workers decided they didn't like the way the doors swung. This is of course after heaven only knows how many design meetings, final design reviews, purchasing, and installing the door frames. The when the CFO got the change order price, he helped the VP's understand that the doors were not changing.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You can still do either, just use metal boxes. The metal clad will look nicer. You can do PVC also. That will be a clean look. The only thing you "can't" really do is run straight wire. It has to be in something or Romex.

Then I would definately run conduit and pull wire. I wouldn't want romex stapled exposed to see. Cleaner look, if your not going to fish it behind the drywall.

Romex would be run inside the wall, I can access the top of the stud wall from the attic to run wire down and will staple to the trusses in the ceiling. nothing would be exposed. Since the gang box would be inside the wall cavity, that's why I was wondering if the wall not being insulated would be an issue.

so questions for yall folks more knowledgeable than me. im getting a vapor barrier installed under my house and the insulation under there has seen better days as well. I was talking with someone the other day and they say a lot of homes in my area don't see much (if any) benefit from having the underside of the house insulated. it didn't quite sound right to me but I got to thinking about it and its usually cooler under there than it is in my house in the summer, and we don't have much of a winter. should I worry about putting up new insulation?

Dad got the gate finished for me, drive through gate is just shy of 11’ and will swing completely open against the fence, the frame is 4x6 tubing, hinges are rated for 120 lbs each, the hinge side post is 6x6 and 36” concreted in, the latch side is a 4x6 post set 36” and concreted.
The walk gate is around 38” opening width and is also attached to a 4x6 set at 3’ and cemented.
Overall I’m happy with how stout it is.

Any joist/subfloor funkiness from having insulation in the cavities?
I wouldn’t stuff any more fiberglass up in there
I would insulate around the inside of crawl space wall and rim joist with some 2” xps board and sprayfoam

I wouldn't say funkiness, I don't see much mold, if any. the last house I had here that had a vapor barrier had a fine layer of mold "dust" on the rafters. this house isn't near as bad.

Septic tank failed, installed a nice big 1550 gallon tank. Thankfully I’m a plumber, got it done in 2 easy days, have to seed the grass, feeling good having it done, old tank was falling apart.

Just dont thread the screw in the wrong way and have the tab fall off into the wall. That leads to a rather angry trip to Home Depot for another box.

Dont ask me how I know. :bananadead:
