    It's up to 10 business days, which in most cases means 15 calendar days. Which jurisdiction do you fall under? King County Sheriff always seems to wait the full 10 business days.....

    Post-July the fastest response I've received is from Normandy Park, 30 minutes.....

    I'm in the Snohomish county sheriff's jurisdiction. My search and rescue and concealed pistol permit background check only took 5 days each, not sure why this is taking so long

    Does the new law require a proceed to complete the transfer now? Or can the FFL still allow the purchaser to receive it after x amount of days? I want to say one or 2 ffls have released to me after an amount of time where they didn't receive a denial. I think it was just over 2wks each time. I dunno? I could be mistaken.

    yes, they can (but aren’t required to) release after the 10 business days are up. A lot of FFLs will not however due to liability in our “hold everyone else accountable by suing” society. The big corporate places certainly won’t do it.

    I got some questions for my oregon firearms guys. How many days do I have to be an Oregon Resident before I can file for a CHL permit? I have other state permits so it’s no problem passing the background check. Also how many days do I have to wait when I become an Oregon Resident to purchase a new firearm in the state? I am moving there in a little over two weeks and will be getting my driver license and registering to vote in the first week to establish residency.

    this may or may not be helpful. Pretty sure Clackamas county would have the same requirements.
    As far as I know-as long as you have a Oregon drivers license with your current address, you can purchase a firearm. But I’ve lived here my whole life, so others may be able to share their experiences better.
