I saw Scotty Kilmer about two weeks ago at my local O'Reillys in Midtown. I didn't want to bother him, but he seems like a cool dude. Cursed like a sailor.

Maybe if you don't change the fluid occasionally. Again, actual experience here, almost 8 years and well over 100k, normal wear and tear items (minor) and regular fluid changes, still strong.

I know! I kind of wish I did because I pretty much bought a Tacoma because of him, but I was completely drenched in sweat and looked like a mess from trying to fix my car battery in my work clothes that morning. I was standing behind him in line and he was talking about making a video soon about how dealership warranties are a scam or something like that to the employees there. I guess he's quite a regular there. I don't know if he's released it yet because I don't really watch his videos anymore, but if he does, you heard it here first!

Good memory, that was a few years ago. They ended up replacing the engine, took a couple months to get it settled with corporate and get them to do the work. Would have been a good car I think after that, but kid had a real bad taste left-over from all the crap they put us through and he ended up trading down on it and got a Chebby truck, which then ended up being a maintenance PITA. He now has a Lexus.
