so for those who dont have instagram ill try an attach a pic later but for those who do, look up dash_pods. they make enclosures that go on the dash of fords f series and toyota tundras. i was wondering if anyone can tell what its made of or how they are made. i contacted the guy about making them for tacomas and he said he hasnt done tham yet. id really like to rig one of these up some how for a scanner and a cb radio stacked on top of eachother. if anyone has any ideas on how to make this happen let me know. thanks

    Looks like mold injected plastic.

Honestly there are much better and aesthetically pleasing options out there than a ugly plastic box on top of my dash

I recommend looking up the “clean radio installs” thread.

We have them mounted everywhere, in the center console, behind the rear seat, above the mirror, behind the dash, etc etc

Mine is mounted under the driver seat with the mic plugged into the dash so you dont ever see the radio.

Those are your options until a box is made.

Could always retrofit something to the TPAM

no i understand that but with a scanner and a cb id rather it be in view. what is the TPAM? also what kind of radio was mounted above the mirror? i like that thouhgt but i dont think that would work for a large cb an a scanner.

I’m not sure what you mean? Joe recommended the TPAM and I think that’s what I’m gonna go with. The DMM is to recessed and I’d have to have too much bulky bracketry to make it work.
