I'm still leaning towards good deal. Unfortunately a lot of secondary pages have been nuked so tracking down prices is a bit tough. I'd wait for more confirmation though

Almost sounds too good to be true. Kentucky Owl Rye Batch #03 retails for $199. Older batches fetch more than that on secondary. Their Confiscated sells for closer to $100, but that's a bourbon.

I'd just confirm the bottle. If it is the rye, yes, definitely buy at $100.

That's either batch #01 or #02 and certainly a great deal at $100.

I've just about finished up the book about Booker Noe - The Big Man of Jim Beam: Booker Noe and the Number One Bourbon in the World. It's pretty neat seeing all of the batch name inspirations in a greater context. Toogie, Annis, his front porch, blue-gill, the rocking chair, Tommy, country ham, etc. all come up and you start to place the source of all of those batch names on Booker Noe's timeline.

The quality of the writing leaves a little to be desired, but it's worth the read for the subject matter (Booker was quite a character) and Beam history alone.

    Holy crap, that'd be fun!

I want to do the Behind the Beam tour. I'm going to look at the 2020 dates when they post and see if I can make it happen.

    https://www.jimbeam.com/visit-us/american-stillhouse

    BEHIND THE BEAM

After aging twice as long as the law requires, our bourbon develops rich and complex flavors. And the stories behind it are just as rich.

During this insider's experience at the Jim Beam American Stillhouse in Clermont, KY, you'll enjoy a private distillery tour, barrel thieving in one of our rackhouses and a guided tasting with Fred and Freddie Noe—the great-grandson and great-great-grandson of Jim Beam himself.

The highlight of this experience - you’ll sit down with Fred and Freddie for a premium bourbon tasting in the historic Beam Home—an experience filled with a some of our greatest Beam family stories.

And top it all off with a bourbon-inspired barbeque lunch and a commemorative bottle to remember your time behind the Beam.
